Game Preview: Saturday, December 9 | Lightning vs. Windsor Express

The London Lightning are back in the Forest City, after a three game road trip that took them to St. John's and ended on a high note in Niagara. Looking to build off of that momentum, the Bolts return to Budweiser Gardens to face off against a familiar rival, the Windsor Express.

London is coming off of a come from behind victory over the Niagara River Lions, beating their foes 108-96. The turning point came in the third quarter, where London took off, outscoring Niagara 41-25 in the quarter. Garrett Williamson led the team with 19 points, and Martin Dixon-Green also added 17 points.

The Express come into the game looking to right the ship, having dropped their last three games, most recently a 120-102 loss in Halifax.

The two-time champions in Windsor are led by former league MVP Logan Stutz, who is pacing the team with his 21 points per game. The 6'10 forward has excellent footwork under the basket, and can also connect from mid-range.

The Express also feature the reigning Rookie of the Year in the NBLC, Maurice Jones. While a smaller player, the 5'7 guard is explosive cutting to the basket, while also being able to set his teammates up. He's off to a strong start again, averaging 18 points and 8 assists.

Tip-off is Saturday December 9th at 7:00 pm at Budweiser Gardens. The Lightning ask fans to please bring donations for the Salvation Army to the game. Tickets are available online or at the Budweiser Gardens box office.
