Lightning on Road to battle the Titans

The London Lightning (4-5) are on the road to face the KW Titans (1-4) for the first time this season.

The Lightning are coming off a 118-109 win over the Niagara River Lions on Friday. Team play was a key factor in Friday's win with six players scoring in double figures, including a three double-doubles from Ryan Anderson (14 points, 16 rebounds, 8 assists), Garrett Williamson (15 points, 10 assists, 5 rebounds) and Marcus Capers (13 points, 10 rebounds. 5 assists).  Bryan Akingkube came off the bench to score 21 points in only 16 minutes and Kyle Johnson, playing in only his second game of the season, poured in 20 points.

Look for Anderson and Capers to continue running the offense, initiating the fast break and filling all parts of the stat sheet. Royce White will return to the lineup after serving a three game suspension.

The Titans have only played five games so far this season, their latest game saw them drop a close game in overtime, 117-115 to the Windsor Express. The Titans return Greg Morrow, Tramar Sutherland and Darren Duncan from last seasons inaguaral team and picked up NBL veteran Rick Bodiford who was a member of the Orangeville A's. Ahmad Starks is another name to watch for as he has lead the Titans in their past two games.

Fans can watch live here.  The Lightning are back home on Friday, December 29 at 7 P.M. as they host the Niagara River Lions at Budwesier Gardens, tickets available at the Bud Gardens box office or under the 'Tickets' tab on our website.
