Lightning Look for 11 Tonight

Lightning Look for 11 Tonight

The last time the London Lightning and St. John's Edge met was December 17th 2017. The Lightning (12-5) won 116-103 and haven't lost since, winning 10 games in a row. Tonight they look to make it 11 as the Edge (11-6) are in London for at seven P.M. tip-off at Budweiser Gardens. A Lightning win would solidify first place in the league.

The Lightning are on a role offensively, averaging 118 points per game, shooting 49% from the field. Royce White leads the league in points per game averaging 26 along with seven assists and eight rebounds a game. The Edge's Carl English is right behind White in points per game with 24. English is not expected to play tonight due to injury.

The Edge is coming off an 86-94 loss to the KW Titans last night; Charles Hinkle was the leading scorer with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Grandy Glaze is another key piece for the Edge, controlling both Glaze and Hinkle's impact will be key for the Bolts.

The Lightning have had a few days of rest after winning in double over-time this past Saturday over the Moncton Magic. Doug Herring Jr. broke the NBL record for assists in a game dropping 21 dimes. Expect him to continue to be a key distributor for the bolts offense tonight.  White dropped 46 points in Saturdays marathon of a game, watch for him to continue his dominant ways inside while finding his shooters spotted up on the wings.

Junior Cadougan will make his season debut for the black and yellow tonight. The Lightning officially resigned Cadougan yesterday after undergoing minor knee surgery in November. He was a key member of the 2016-17 Championship team.

Marcus Capers will return to the lineup tonight after missing three games due to injury. Kyle Johnson will not dress as he continues to rehab a lower body injury.

Tickets are available at the Budweiser Gardens Box Office. Fans can follow along with live stats or live stream here.
