Lightning Bounce Back against River Lions

Sunday, February 25, 2018 (ST. CATHARINES, ON) –  It was a fast-paced affair on Sunday afternoon as the London Lightning beat the Niagara River Lions 106-98.    

The Lightning ran the floor to maximize their signature fast break play while stepping it up on the defensive end to get their twentieth win of the season. The Bolts remain in first in the NBL with a 20-9 record.

The Lightning out rebounded the River Lions 53 to 39. Garrett Williamson and Royce White lead the Lightning with 18 points each. White also pulled down 14 points. Julian Boyd had a stellar shooting performance scoring 17 points while shooting 78% from the floor (seven of nine) and 75% from the three (three of four). Ryan Anderson also added 17 points (four of eight from three). Doug Herring Jr. recorded 15 points with eight rebounds and Mo Bolden chipped in 13.

The Lightning's next game is on the road this Friday, March 2nd at the WFCU Centre in Windsor at seven P.M. The Bolts will then fly to the east coast for two games March 4th and 5th.
