FCFP Pre-Game Inspection: Nov. 29 at Riptide

1. Back in the Win Column 

The Lightning struck their way back into the win column when they played the Cape Breton Highlanders. A back and forth game where no team could get a large run and pull away, Xavier Moon hit a game winning 3-pointer with only 3.4 seconds to go in the game. Sealing the game with a 104-102 victory and giving the Lightning a 2-1 record on the season.   

2. Big Dog Still has Some Bite

As the oldest player on the team, age doesn't seem to be affecting Marvin Phillips. Phillips had a team high 19 points in last games win. Add on the six rebounds, and the two blocks, Phillips was a one man wrecking crew. Through three games this season, Phillips is averaging 11 points per game and 4.3 rebounds per game, all while coming off the bench and playing limited minutes.   

3. Previous Match

The last time these two teams faced each other was back on March 5, 2018 where the Lightning lost 109-102. One of the leading scorers for the Lightning was Garrett Williamson who scored 19 points. For a recap of the game see below:
