FCFP Pre-Game Inspection: Dec. 8 vs Riptide

FCFP Pre-Game Inspection: Dec. 8 vs Riptide

1. Mo-vember is Extended

Who said Movember had to end in November? Lightning veteran Mo Bolden had a game to remember on Thursday's win against the Windsor Express. Bolden finished the game with 28 points, 15 rebounds, and four blocks. Not only was Bolden a force on offence, it was his defensive game that stuck out the most. Playing hard defense all game, Bolden came up with a timely block with seconds to go in the game, to ensure the Lightning Victory. Look for Bolden to build off last game.

2. High Flying Offense

The Lightning have been anything but exciting this season. The Lightning have the third highest offense in the league right now, averaging 106.2 points per game. The only teams ahead of the Lightning are the Sudbury Five, and Island Storm, who sit first and second respectively.

The high offense does come with a penalty however. The Bolts are sitting sixth in the league for points against. They are currently averaging 105.5 points allowed per game. This is a stat the Lightning would love to be able to lower as the year goes on. As they say, defense wins championships.

3. Previous Match

Don't have to go back to far to see the last time these two teams faced-off. On Nov. 29, the Lightning cruised on for a 109-95 win in Saint John. Xavier Moon was the main target of the game as he finished the game with 25 points. A recap of the game can be seen below:
