FCFP Pre-Game Inspection: Dec. 20 vs. Hurricanes

1. First Game, First Win

Elliott Etherington got his first win in his first game as the new head coach of the Lightning. London defeated the Sudbury Five 120-117 in Sudbury on December 15. A gutsy win, the team showed improvements on the defensive side of the ball under their new coach. This includes a strong defensive stop near the end of the game to help secure the lead. After failing to crack the 100 point barrier their last two games, the Lightning re-ignited the offence.

2. Ware-d Out

Kevin Ware will be missing tonight's game due to an injury. Ware will be placed on the Injured Reserve (IR) and his return date is not known. Ware will join other Lightning player Jelan Kendrick on the IR.

3. Previous Match

I think we all know what the outcome was the last time the Lightning took on the Hurricanes. Game Seven of the NBL-C Finals, in Halifax, the Lightning struck down on the Hurricanes to claim their fourth NBL-C Championship. To re-watch the glory, see below:
