3 Straight Losses Hit Home.

SUNDAY, January 13th, 2019 (LONDON, ON) The London Lightning were once again taken back by The Saint Johns Riptide (107-98). The team worked hard to try to close the gap but could not pull ahead.

Defense was a primary focus and it showed as Mo Bolden successfully blocked 6 attempts, Coach Elliot Etherthington noted "it's what he does, he's the best shot blocker in the league and there's no question about it!"

The Saint John Riptides took full advantage of the shot opportunities with 12-17 FGA and 8-11 FTA in the 4th quarter which surprised the bolt's in the end.

Shooting efficiently throughout the game was Jaylen Babb-Harrison with 6-12 FGA and 4-8 from three he was as also the chosen player of the game for his efforts. Another player of note is Kirk Williams Jr, he came off the bench and scored 22 points which helped tighten up the gap in key moments in the game against The Riptide, this helped with morale which is what the players need right now.

This afternoon marked the 3rd loss in a row for The Lightening, Coach Elliot felt these as personal losses "We make mistakes, we have to fix a few things and modify our tactics to come back out on top, I think if we can get back to where we need to be, we will be in a good spot again."
