FCFP Pre-Game Inspection: Jan 17 vs Titans

1: 401 Rivals

The London Lightning will travel down the 401 to the Kitchener Aud for the first time this season, tip-off is 7 PM EST. The Lightning (8-11) and the KW Titans (8-7) have battled twice so far this season, both times in December in  London at Budweiser Gardens, with the Titans coming away victorious in both games, 123-97 and 129-123. Former bolt, Joel Friesen was an offensive force in both previous match ups scoring 31 and 30 points, the Lightning will look limit his input tonight.

2: New Big Man

The Lightning have signed and activated 6'10, Canadian,  center Rudolphe Joly. The NBL-C veteran has played previously for the Windsor Express and the St. John's Edge.  Joly brings size and stability to the inside. Head coach, Elliott Etherington, is looking forward to seeing Joly in action tonight.  "Well I'm happy to bring in a guy like Rudolphe, definitely gives us another dimension to our team and we've got some veterans who can vouch for his character. I think it's important to have a few options in the post that are solid and stable to take some pressure off some guys who have been asked to do a lot. I think he's going fit in and perform pretty well." Joly will be in the bolts line up tonight wearing number 26.

Garrett Williamson is expected to return to the line-up tonight after missing five games with a lower-body injury, and Kevin Ware will not be available for the game.
