FCFP Pre-Game Inspection: Jan 30 at Magic

1: Tricks against the Magic
The Lightning head out east for a game against the Magic tonight. Coming off a 50/50 weekend against the Storm and the FIVE, the team is looking to build momentum on the road where they have actual fared slightly better so far this season going 6-6 rather than the 5-7 record at home. The Magic are the best 3 point shooting team in the league so the Lightning will have to always be prepared for shooters throughout the game. The Bolts do I have a leg up above Moncton in some key areas such as blocks where they lead the league with 6.1, and points per game with 107.7 compared to the Magics 100.9. If the Lighting stick to their guns by getting to the basket often and playing strong team defense this could be a good game for them

2:Mo makes a bold statement

Mo Bolden had a strong game last time out against the Sudbury FIVE. He had an all around game that the FIVE could not stop at any point. He tallied 25 points, most coming off drives or post-ups with several and-1's, taking it to the paint strong all game. Even when the team tried double teaming or traping him he used his vision to hit the open man adding 7 assists to his totals as well. He only had 5 rebounds for the game but that is because Marcus Capers was snatching them up, grabbing 13 for the game. Bolden also brought it on defense with 2 steals and a block. His efforts were not enough for the victory on Sunday but with play like that he will always give the Lightning a chance to win.
