FCFP Pre-Game Inspection: Feb 7th VS Express

FCFP Pre-Game Inspection: Feb 7th VS Express

1: Bolts looking to bounce back

With the second game of a back to back against the Express, the Lightning are looking to come back stronger today to put up a bigger fight. It was not only a rough game for the Lightning yesterday shooting 35% from the field and 20% from three point range; it was also a great game for the Express who looked like they could not miss throughout the whole game, shooting 58% overall and 52% from deep. Something the Bolts will need to do better in the game today is ball movement, they only had 6 assists last night and moving the ball around more should help generate more offense and give the team some more energy and momentum.

2: More of Moore?

With a rough game from the team last night, there was a bright spot coming off the bench in Josiah Moore. With other key players out for the game, there were extra minutes for somone to take and he made the most of his extra time. He was not the leading scorer but he was one of the more effcient players with 13 points on 4 of 6 shooting and drilling 1 for 1 of his threes. He also nabbed 2 of the teams 6 assists which shows he was moving the ball around well to find the open man. He also showed hustle pulling down 6 rebounds, 3 of which being offensive which exemplfies how hard he was playing even when the team was down by so much. The other players should be returning soon so there won't be as many minutes to give out but he displayed his ability to step up when the team needs him.

3: Where to watch

You check out tonight's game on NBLC Live through this link https://nblclive.ca/. Tip off is set for 7 PM. We are back at home and over the weekend so come on out to Budweiser Gardens and cheer the team on in person!
