FCFP Pre-Game Inspection: Feb 16th vs. Sudbury FIVE

1: Bring em' on!

The London Lightning have been on a roll as of late, winning three straight games. Today they will take on the Sudbury FIVE who are just ahead of them in the standings and a win would do great things for London. The FIVE lost their most recent game against the Express, 119-115; however, they did beat out the Lightning in their last game on January 27th, winning 115 to 110. London was running a short team with both Kirk Williams Jr. and Xavier Moon not being able to play due to injuries. Now the Lightning has a full team, and they are throwing haymakers, winning the last two games by 23 and 26 points while scoring over 130 in each one. Not to mention the adversity they overcame against the Express in their double overtime victory the Thursday before those games. They are playing hot and together as a team, so the Sudbury FIVE better watch out for the London Twelve!

2: AJ Gaines great week!

Anthony Gaines Jr. for our very own London Lightning had an excellent weekend and week in general. Over the four games that the Lightning played last week, he averaged 18.5 points per game, 7 rebounds per game, and doing it while shooting 65% from the field in total, all while playing off the bench. His most impressive game was Saturday when he got 32 points only missing one shot going 11-12 from the field, 4-4 from 3, and 6-7 from the free throw line. AJ has been making statements and if he keeps playing the way he has, he will continue to brighten his star on this team.
