London Lightning Succumb to Kokomo Bobkats' Stellar Defense in Tough Loss

London, ON - March 19, 2024 - The London Lightning faced a formidable challenge in their recent matchup against the Kokomo Bobkats, ultimately falling short in a closely contested battle. Despite their efforts, the Lightning were unable to overcome the Bobkats', resulting in a disappointing loss for the home team.

The absence of star player Billy White, combined with a minor injury from Chris Jones in the 3rd, posed additional challenges for the Lightning. Even with the return of Freddie McSwain Jr., it was evident that the Bobkats' defensive strategy proved insurmountable.

Nick Garth once again, showcased his consistency from beyond the arc, shooting an impressive 6 for 11, providing a glimmer of hope for the Lightning. However, even Garth's stellar performance, coupled with Jermaine Haley Jr.'s impressive 29-point contribution, was not enough to secure victory against the resilient Bobkats. The final score was 106-110.

Despite the setback, the London Lightning remain committed to pursuing a 7th title and are determined to bounce back stronger in their upcoming games. Head Coach Doug Plumb expressed confidence in the team's ability to learn and grow from this experience, emphasizing the importance of grit and teamwork in overcoming adversity.

The London Lightning extends their gratitude to their loyal fans for their unwavering support and encouragement throughout the season. Catch us back at Budweiser Gardens on April 1st as we take on the Newfoundland Rogue.
