London Lightning Wrangle Glass City 127-95

London, ON- March 10, 2024 - In an entertaining match-up at the Budweiser Gardens, the London Lightning emerged triumphant against the Glass City Wranglers, illustrating their talent on the court. The game, proudly sponsored by LIUNA 1059, witnessed an impressive display of skill from dunks to alley-oops, culminating in a victory for the Lightning.

Assistant Coach Dave Sewell rose to the occasion, stepping in as head coach and guiding the team to a remarkable win. Sewell's strategic leadership was instrumental in securing the victory, underscoring the depth of expertise within the Lightning coaching staff. "I am incredibly proud of each player's contribution to this victory, and I do not doubt that this momentum will propel us forward as we continue our journey to the championship."

The standout performances of key players further solidified the Lightning's dominance on the court. Nick Garth, who claimed victory in the BSL All-Star 3-point contest this past weekend, showcased his unparalleled accuracy from beyond the arc. Rashad Smith delivered an impressive offensive display, contributing 20 points to the team's overall score. However, it was Jeremiah Mordi who truly stole the show, narrowly missing out on a triple-double with an outstanding execution that included a stellar 19 points, 10 assists and 7 rebounds, just three rebounds shy of achieving this milestone.

The support of LIUNA 1059 as the game's sponsor added an extra layer of excitement to the event, further highlighting the strong community ties that unite the Lightning and their fans.

With another win under their belt, the London Lightning look ahead to future matchups with confidence, fueled by the collective efforts of their talented roster and coaching staff.
