London Lightning Finish Regular Season with Intense Back-to-Back Battle Against Newfoundland Rogues
The London Lightning and the Newfoundland Rogues engaged in a thrilling three-day back-to-back battle that showcased the intensity and skill of both teams.
The Rogues emerged victorious, clinching two out of the three games and securing the last playoff spot in the inaugural Basketball Super League.
The series kicked off on Friday night with a nail-biting showdown, ending with a score of 104-110 in favour of the Rogues. Saturday's game saw a stunning reversal, with the Lightning claiming victory at 113-108. Sunday's match proved to be decisive, as the Rogues sealed their playoff berth with a final score of 113-104.
Jermaine Haley Jr. shined on Saturday, earning the coveted Player of the Game title with an impressive 34 points. As the regular season concluded, Billy White and Chris Jones showcased their consistency and skill, contributing over 500 points each for the Lightning.
Despite the intense battles, the Lightning maintained a strong position, currently sitting in second place as they await the outcome of Kitchener's final games to determine if they can reclaim the top spot. With their eyes set on the championship, the team is gearing up for the first playoff game scheduled for Saturday, May 4th(subject to change) at Bud Gardens.
